Designed by Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956) for the Wiener Werkstaette and presented for the first time to the public at the exhibition "Place Setting" in Vienna, this cutlery was made by hand, in silver metal and silver up in 1910-1912.
This service fully reflects the search for functionality combined with extreme formal elegance and refined materials processing. While some contemporaries raised doubts about the feasibility of certain parts (the cross-concavity of the ladle was a moot point), they were denied.
Made of stainless steel 18/10, cutlery RUNDES MODELL were reissued by Alessi in 2000.
