The real heart of the design of this kettle is the brass whistle whose pipes sing two notes, mi and if, when the steam passes through them, giving a particularly attractive melody.
Richerd Sapper wanted to avoid creating a kettle emitting the usual noise and painful "pots" market. And this purely musical requirement led to think what Alessi described as its first multi-sensorial design.
